Threads Pendant Lamp

A striking pendant of impressive proportions, this is an exploration of thread and its potential to create lightweight and dynamic sculptures of light.

Composed of an array of fine technical threads pulled taut between 2 aluminum rings. It presents a range of large-scale conical and cylindrical silhouettes that can be combined together to form a compelling installation.

The spacing distribution of the threads creates translucency and volume, whilst the layering effect gives the illusion of movement.

Suspended overhead, it emits a pleasant sownlight projected from an invisible source concealed within the lower ring.

At the same time, indirect light washes upwards in a gradient of colour, enveloping rather than invading the space it occupies.
